Music has been a part of Annie Chen's life for lots of years already. She began studying classical piano at age four under Prof. Mei Zhen Wang at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and won several piano competitions in China.
Pianist Eugenia Choe releases her debut album for SteepleChase Records, which showcases her unique ear for composition and improvisation. The music has a personal sound and touch. Soulful, lyrical melodies combine with intricate rhythm and counterpoint. The band is comprised of like-minded colleagues who have been playing together for some time, giving this band a true collective sound.
